5U tube-based effects system
Overview
This system is the result of years of development. Each module is designed and crafted to utilise tubes, transformers, and inductors to their full sonic potential. Discrete transistors, FETs, and even IC operational amplifiers are used in the signal path where the use of tubes is impractical due to limited space or heat generation.
Component quality is exceptionally high throughout, and everything is built for easy maintenance and long-term serviceability. For example, all switches and potentiometers are individually wired and mechanically secured to the front panel, and teflon-insulated internal wiring is used for long life and safety. Front panels are 4 mm thick aluminium, anodized, engraved, and colour-filled. These are built to last indefinitely.
Tubes are NOS or the best currently manufactured types, and all tubes undergo burn-in and measurement to ensure quality and tight matching. Many other components also require careful matching, such as inductor cores and opto-isolators.
BBD Delay
Bucket brigade delay with great-sounding tube distortion stages in the delay loop. Variable anti-alias filters provide maximum frequency response across the entire delay time range. A full set of controls and routing options allows for a wide variety of sounds.

Dual Filter Bank
Very special, saturated inductor-modulated filter bank with tube amplifiers. With small amounts of boost or cut, it behaves like a sweet, inductor-based EQ; with full boost, it becomes a saturated formant filter with complex behavior.
Dual Phaser
Two-channel phaser using six tubes and twelve opto-isolators for six-stage phase-shift networks. LFO with 0°, 90°, and 180° phase shift for channel B. The specialty of this phaser is that feedback and phaser mix can be adjusted from positive to negative phase, providing four different curve types. The number of stages can be switched between 2, 4, and 6.
Dual Mic Pre
Two-channel tube mic preamp with Lundahl input transformers and selected NOS tubes. High-impedance DI inputs and Elma rotary switches for coarse gain control. Equivalent input noise at high gains is only -130 dBu.
Phones
Hear the effects with absolute transparency and headphone control. Class A headphone amplifier with two stereo inputs and two headphone outputs, each with its own Alps volume control. Good channel balance and ultra-low distortion. Output impedance is only 0.7 ohms. Features switchable X-feed and mono for more comfortable listening of hard-panned sources. High-end design in 5U format.
S&H+EF
Sample and Hold with fast and accurate operation, capable of 5 kHz sampling frequency with high precision. Very low DC offset and minimal sample voltage drift.
Envelope Follower with separate dual time constants for attack and release. Comparator with adjustable reference and gate or trigger output.
Spring Reverb
Stereo spring reverb with mu-metal shielded reverb tanks for very low hum and noise. Carefully matched tanks and tubes for good stereo balance. Constant-current and constant-voltage driving modes. All-tube amplification. This reverb is sweet and wide.
